Foundayo Bloating, Burping and Trapped Wind: Is It Normal?

Can Foundayo cause bloating?
Yes.
Abdominal distension, burping and flatulence are all listed as common side effects of Foundayo.
Why might Foundayo cause bloating?
Changes in appetite, meal size and gastric emptying can alter how food feels in your digestive system.
Eating the same portions you consumed before treatment may therefore feel uncomfortable once your appetite and gastric function have changed.
What can help?
Consider:
- eating smaller portions
- slowing down while eating
- chewing thoroughly
- limiting fizzy drinks
- avoiding very large meals
- identifying foods that repeatedly trigger symptoms.
Is burping on Foundayo normal?
Burping, medically known as eructation, is a recognised common adverse reaction.
It is usually not dangerous by itself.
When isn't bloating normal?
Seek medical assessment if significant abdominal swelling occurs with:
- severe pain
- repeated vomiting
- inability to pass stool
- inability to pass wind.
Severe constipation, ileus and bowel obstruction have been reported with medicines acting through the GLP-1 pathway.
How Pharmulous can help
Side effects shouldn't be looked at in isolation.
Our clinicians can review when symptoms started, whether they followed a dose increase and whether changes to your treatment plan may be appropriate.
