Solpadeine Plus Soluble Tablets provide short-term treatment of acute moderate pain that is not relieved by paracetamol or ibuprofen alone. They can be used for migraine, headache, backache, rheumatic pain, period pain, dental pain, strains and sprains, and sciatica.
Each soluble tablet contains:
- Paracetamol 500mg
- Codeine phosphate hemihydrate 8mg
- Caffeine 30mg
Paracetamol provides pain relief, codeine is an opioid analgesic that provides additional pain relief, and caffeine helps enhance the effect of paracetamol.
Adults should dissolve 2 tablets in water every 4–6 hours as required, leaving at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Because the medicine contains codeine, treatment must be limited to 3 days. Continued use can lead to dependence and addiction.
Do not take with any other medicines containing paracetamol or codeine.
