Anusol Suppositories provide targeted relief from internal haemorrhoids (piles) and associated ano-rectal discomfort. The suppository is inserted directly into the back passage, allowing the ingredients to act where they are needed.
Each suppository contains zinc oxide 296mg, bismuth subgallate 59mg, balsam Peru 49mg and bismuth oxide 24mg. These ingredients have protective, mildly astringent and antiseptic properties that help soothe and protect irritated areas.
Adults should insert one suppository at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement as required. Anusol Suppositories are for rectal use only and must not be swallowed.
If you have rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, speak to a doctor before using Anusol because these symptoms can have causes other than haemorrhoids. If symptoms persist or worsen, stop treatment and seek medical advice.
