- Driclor Solution - 75ml
Excessive sweating can be frustrating, particularly when it affects your confidence, clothing or everyday activities. If ordinary antiperspirants aren't doing enough, Driclor offers a stronger option.
Driclor Solution 75ml is a pharmacy treatment designed for excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. It contains aluminium chloride hexahydrate 20%, which works by temporarily blocking sweat ducts to reduce the amount of sweat reaching the skin's surface.
Driclor can be used to treat excessive sweating of the underarms, hands and feet.
Unlike everyday antiperspirants, Driclor is usually applied at night, when sweat glands are less active. As sweating improves, most people can reduce how frequently they need to apply it.
Active ingredient: Aluminium chloride hexahydrate 20% w/w (185 mg/ml).
Other ingredients: Ethyl alcohol and purified water.
Do not use Driclor if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
- Make sure the affected skin is completely clean and dry before applying.
- Apply a thin layer of Driclor to the underarms, palms of the hands or soles of the feet before going to bed.
- Allow the solution to dry fully before getting dressed.
- Wash the treated area thoroughly the following morning.
- Initially, use Driclor every night until sweating is adequately controlled. You can then reduce application to once or twice weekly, or less frequently if sufficient.
Important: Do not apply Driclor to broken, irritated or recently shaved skin. Avoid shaving shortly before application, as this may increase irritation.
Driclor should not be reapplied during the day.
Always follow the instructions supplied with the product.
Driclor is generally well tolerated when used correctly, although some people may experience:
- Stinging or burning after application
- Skin irritation or redness
- Itching or discomfort
- A rash or localised swelling
Irritation is more likely if the skin is damp, recently shaved or already inflamed.
If irritation occurs, stop using Driclor temporarily until the skin settles. If symptoms are severe or persistent, discontinue treatment and speak to your pharmacist or GP.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas.
- Store upright in a cool place below 25°C.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
- Keep away from naked flames and sources of ignition, as the solution is flammable.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date.
