Vagisil Medicated Crème is a Pharmacy Medicine (P) that provides fast, temporary relief from external intimate itching, burning and irritation affecting the vulval area. It contains lidocaine 2%, a local anaesthetic that helps numb the affected area to relieve discomfort caused by minor skin irritation. It is suitable for the temporary relief of external feminine itching but does not treat the underlying cause of symptoms such as thrush, bacterial vaginosis or sexually transmitted infections. If symptoms persist or recur, medical advice should be sought.
Vagisil Medicated Crème may be used to relieve:
- External intimate itching
- Burning sensations
- Minor vulval irritation
- External soreness and discomfort
Active Ingredient
Each gram of cream contains:
- Lidocaine 2% w/w
Directions for Use
- Suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over.
- Apply a small amount to the affected external intimate area.
- Use 3 to 4 times daily as required.
- Wash your hands before and after application.
- For external use only.

Can I apply Vagisil Medicated Cream inside the vagina?
No. Vagisil Medicated Cream is intended for external use only and should only be applied to the external intimate area (vulva).
How often can I use Vagisil Medicated Cream?
Apply a small amount to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily as needed. Do not continue using the cream for more than 7 days unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Can I use Vagisil Medicated Cream during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are breastfeeding, speak to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist before using this medicine.
