Imodium Instant 2mg are orodispersible tablets for the relief of sudden, short-term diarrhoea.

Each tablet contains loperamide hydrochloride 2mg, which works by slowing down an overactive bowel. This allows more water and salts to be absorbed, helping stools become firmer and reducing the frequency of bowel movements.

Unlike conventional tablets, Imodium Instants dissolve quickly on the tongue and can be swallowed with saliva without needing a drink, making them particularly convenient when travelling or away from home.

For sudden short-term diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over, take 2 tablets initially, followed by 1 tablet after each further loose bowel movement.

Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours and do not use for longer than 48 hours without medical advice.

Maintaining hydration is important during diarrhoea. Oral rehydration solutions may be useful to replace lost fluids and electrolytes.
