- Optrex Allergy Eye Drops 10ml
Optrex Allergy 2% w/v Eye Drops contain sodium cromoglicate, an anti-allergy treatment used to relieve and prevent itchy, red and watery eyes caused by hayfever and other allergic conditions (allergic conjunctivitis).
The drops work by stabilising mast cells in the eye, helping to prevent the release of histamine and other substances that trigger allergy symptoms. They can be used during allergy season to control and prevent flare-ups.
Suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over.
Active Ingredients:
Sodium Cromoglicate 2% w/v
(Each 1ml contains 20mg sodium cromoglicate)
Other Ingredients:
May include:
Benzalkonium chloride (preservative)
Disodium edetate
Purified water
Adults and children aged 6 years and over:
Instil 1–2 drops into each affected eye four times daily.
If necessary, this may be increased to up to 6 times daily.
How to use:
Wash hands before use.
Tilt head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
Apply drop without touching the eye.
Close eye gently for a few seconds after application.
Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
For use in the eyes only.
Do not use if allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any ingredients.
Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2 days.
Do not use while wearing soft contact lenses.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye
