Foundayo Heartburn, Acid Reflux and Indigestion: What Can Help?

Does Foundayo cause heartburn?

It can.

Dyspepsia or indigestion is a very common Foundayo side effect, while gastro-oesophageal reflux disease is listed as common.

Why can Foundayo cause reflux?

Orforglipron delays gastric emptying.

This effect is greatest after the first dose and reduces over time.

This means large meals may feel very different after starting Foundayo and may contribute to symptoms such as fullness, indigestion or reflux.

What can help Foundayo heartburn?

You may find it helpful to:

• eat smaller portions
• eat slowly
• avoid lying down immediately after eating
• avoid very large meals close to bedtime
• identify individual trigger foods
• reduce particularly fatty meals if they aggravate symptoms.

Can I take indigestion medicine with Foundayo?

Appropriate indigestion or reflux treatments may be suitable for some patients.

When should reflux be assessed?

Persistent reflux, difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained anaemia or significant unexplained pain should be medically assessed rather than repeatedly self-treated.
