- Pharmulous vs Boots: Prices, Delivery...

If you’re comparing Pharmulous with Boots Online Doctor for weight-management treatment, the starting price is only one part of the picture.
Prices can vary considerably by strength, and it’s also worth looking at how each provider handles delivery or collection, ongoing clinical support, switching from another provider and longer-term weight maintenance.
Here, we compare Pharmulous and Boots Online Doctor using current published prices and service information.
Prices and competitor information checked: 14 September 2026.
Prescription treatment is subject to clinical assessment and suitability.
Pharmulous vs Boots at a glance

Boots offers home delivery as well as collection through Boots pharmacies. Its website says prescribed medicines can generally be collected from Boots pharmacies outside Jersey and Guernsey.
Pharmulous also offers collection, alongside home delivery.
Mounjaro prices: Pharmulous vs Boots
Boots currently publishes six Mounjaro strengths, ranging from £179 for 2.5mg to £339 for 15mg.
Here’s how those published prices compare with current Pharmulous prices:

At the prices checked, Pharmulous has the lower listed medication price at every equivalent Mounjaro strength.
The difference becomes larger at some of the higher strengths. For example, the current difference is £34.01 at 2.5mg and £64.01 at 15mg.
Price shouldn’t determine which strength someone uses. Treatment and dose decisions should be based on individual clinical assessment, response and tolerability.
Wegovy prices: Pharmulous vs Boots
Boots currently advertises Wegovy from £89, with six options available. Its published prices range from £89 for 0.25mg to £279 for 7.2mg.
What could Wegovy cost over several months?
Looking beyond the first month can provide a more useful picture of how published prices compare.
As a simple illustration, consider four separate months at the following strengths:
0.25mg → 0.5mg → 1mg → 1.7mg
Using the current medication prices above:
Pharmulous: £484.96
Boots: £536.00
Difference: £51.04
So across those four strengths, Pharmulous's listed medication prices would total £51.04 less.
This is an illustrative price comparison only. It is not a recommended or guaranteed dose schedule. Dose changes are determined clinically and will depend on the individual, including how they respond to and tolerate treatment.
Delivery and collection: Pharmulous vs Boots
Both providers offer home delivery and collection, so this isn't simply a choice between an online provider and a high-street collection service.
Pharmulous
Pharmulous operates an onsite GPhC-registered pharmacy, with approved prescriptions sent to the pharmacy for dispensing.
The Pharmulous website currently says approved orders are generally dispatched the same working day when approved by 12pm, subject to capacity and other conditions.
Collection is also available from Pharmulous.
Boots
Boots offers both home delivery and collection from its pharmacy network.
Boots says its clinical team aims to review orders within 24 hours and, once a prescription has been issued, collection from a Boots store can generally be available within two business hours.
For home delivery, Boots says Royal Mail Tracked 48 is used for the majority of its services, while some medicines require Special Delivery. It says delivery is free for almost all services, although Special Delivery can carry a charge where required, including for temperature-controlled medicines.
So if delivery speed or collection is particularly important to you, it’s worth checking the exact option available for your treatment when ordering.
What support do Pharmulous and Boots provide?
Price isn't the only difference between the two services.
Both provide clinical oversight, but their wider support models aren't identical.
Pharmulous support
Pharmulous provides clinician-led support for eligible weight-management patients.
The service includes ongoing clinical review, and Pharmulous requires periodic weight verification for patients receiving weight-management treatment. Its current website says weight verification is required every six months.
Pharmulous also supports patients who are approaching or have reached their target weight through its weight-maintenance service, where continued treatment remains clinically appropriate.
Boots support
Boots has built a broader lifestyle-support programme around its weight-management service.
Its current service includes clinical support alongside resources such as live webinars, a tracker app, exercise content and a 10-week programme. Boots also offers in-store weigh-ins and pharmacy support.
Boots additionally offers optional personalised one-to-one coaching. At the time of checking, this is advertised at £32 per month when combined with treatment, or £46 per month without treatment.
This is one area where Boots has a particularly extensive published support offering, especially for someone who wants app-based tools, lifestyle resources and optional coaching alongside treatment.
What about long-term weight maintenance?
Maintenance can become an important consideration for people who have reached or are approaching their target weight.
Pharmulous has a dedicated weight-maintenance service for suitable patients.
Its published approach says clinicians can work with patients to find an appropriate maintenance plan and adjust treatment according to individual needs. It also specifically states that patients previously prescribed weight-management medication elsewhere may be able to transfer their care to Pharmulous.
Boots also provides ongoing support. Its current service advertises 12 additional months of free clinical aftercare after stopping treatment for qualifying patients who have remained with the service for six months.
These aren't identical approaches, so someone thinking about longer-term treatment should consider the type of support they want rather than comparing price alone.
Pharmulous vs Boots: how do the prices compare overall?
There isn't one answer that applies to every treatment and every strength.
For Mounjaro, Pharmulous currently lists a lower medication price than Boots at all six equivalent strengths in this comparison.
For Wegovy, Boots currently has the lower listed price at 0.25mg and 2.4mg. Pharmulous has the lower listed price at 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 7.2mg.
Boots also has a substantial wider support programme, including its app, webinars, in-store services and optional one-to-one coaching.
Pharmulous provides clinician-led treatment and ongoing support, including switching and dedicated weight-maintenance pathways where clinically appropriate.
Both providers offer home delivery and collection.
Ultimately, the most relevant comparison will depend on the treatment and strength you're prescribed, how you prefer to receive your medication, and the type of ongoing support you're looking for.
Considering changing provider?
If you're already receiving weight-management treatment elsewhere, you can complete a Pharmulous consultation to see whether continuing your care with us may be clinically appropriate.
All prescription treatment is subject to clinical assessment and prescribing approval. You may be asked to provide details or evidence of your current treatment to help our clinical team assess continuity of care.
