Pharmulous vs MedExpress: Prices, Delivery & Support Compared

Blog

Choosing an online weight-management provider isn't only about finding the lowest starting price.

If you're comparing Pharmulous and MedExpress, there are a few things worth looking at side by side: the cost of treatment at different strengths, delivery, what happens if you want to change provider, and the support available if you reach your goal weight and move into maintenance.

We've brought those details together here using our current Pharmulous information and publicly available information from MedExpress.

Prices checked: 14 September 2026.

Prices and services can change, so always check the latest information directly with the provider before making a decision.

Pharmulous vs MedExpress at a glance
The headline prices are useful, but they don't tell the whole story. Treatment costs change with dose, and delivery charges need to be taken into account too.

Mounjaro prices: Pharmulous vs MedExpress

At the time we checked, Pharmulous's listed price was lower at each of the six Mounjaro strengths shown.

The difference ranged from £25 to £40 per pen before delivery.

Of course, price shouldn't determine which dose you use. Your dose is a clinical decision based on factors including your response to treatment, side effects and whether increasing the dose is appropriate for you.

Wegovy prices: Pharmulous vs MedExpress

The current Wegovy comparison looks like this:

At the time of our check, Pharmulous had the lower listed price at five of the six Wegovy strengths compared.

At 2.4mg, both providers were £199.99.

Again, these are listed medication prices rather than a recommendation to use a particular strength. Your prescriber will determine which dose is appropriate for you.

What could Wegovy cost over four months?

Sometimes it's more useful to look at several months rather than comparing a single starting price.

As a simple example, suppose someone is clinically prescribed 0.25mg, followed by 0.5mg, 1mg and then 1.7mg over four consecutive months.

At the prices above, medication alone would total:

Pharmulous: £484.96

MedExpress: £549.96

That's a difference of £65 over four months, before delivery.

This is an illustration of the prices only. It isn't a recommended titration schedule, and not everyone will or should increase their dose each month. Dose changes should only be made when clinically appropriate and agreed with your prescriber.

What about delivery?

This is where it's important not to look at medication prices in isolation.

Pharmulous charges £4.99 for Royal Mail Special Delivery.

MedExpress publishes lower delivery prices, although its current delivery arrangements for weight-management medicines vary by treatment. Its support information says Mounjaro is delivered by Royal Mail and Wegovy by DPD, and notes that GLP-1 prescriptions can require additional clinical checks before dispatch.

So when comparing providers, check the final amount at checkout rather than assuming the lowest medication price automatically means the lowest total order cost.

MedExpress itself also notes that prices shown before checkout can differ because of factors such as promotional eligibility, account status and credits.

What happens when you reach your goal weight?

Starting treatment gets a lot of attention. What happens afterwards is just as important.

For some people, reaching their goal weight doesn't necessarily mean treatment stops immediately. Continued treatment may form part of a longer-term weight-management plan where it remains clinically appropriate.

Both Pharmulous and MedExpress provide ongoing treatment subject to clinical assessment, although their approaches to maintenance differ.

At Pharmulous, we can consider supporting patients down to a BMI of 19 where continued treatment remains clinically appropriate.

That does not mean everyone continues treatment until their BMI reaches 19.

Maintenance decisions are individual. Patients continue to be monitored, and we use weight verification and clinical reviews to assess whether ongoing prescribing remains appropriate.

MedExpress also supports maintenance treatment subject to clinical eligibility and ongoing review.

The important point is that maintenance isn't simply an automatic repeat prescription. Your current weight, treatment history, response to treatment and overall clinical circumstances all need to be considered.

Can I switch from MedExpress to Pharmulous?

If you're already receiving weight-management treatment through MedExpress or another provider, you can apply to transfer your care to Pharmulous.

Changing provider doesn't automatically mean changing treatment or dose.

We'll need to understand what you're currently taking and review whether continuing treatment is clinically appropriate. You may be asked to provide evidence of your existing prescription, current dose and recent weight.

Our clinical team will then review that information before deciding whether treatment can be prescribed and, if so, which dose is appropriate.

This is particularly relevant for people who have already lost a significant amount of weight.

The criteria used to assess someone who is already established on treatment aren't necessarily the same as those used for someone starting treatment for the first time.

So, what's actually different?

On the prices checked for this article, Pharmulous's listed Mounjaro prices were lower across all six strengths compared.

For Wegovy, Pharmulous's listed price was lower at five strengths, while both providers listed 2.4mg at £199.99.

MedExpress, meanwhile, publishes delivery options starting below Pharmulous's £4.99 delivery charge.

Price is only one part of the comparison. If you're choosing a provider for treatment that could continue for months or longer, it's also worth looking at ongoing clinical support, maintenance policies, delivery arrangements and what happens if your circumstances change.

Is Pharmulous cheaper than MedExpress for Wegovy?

It depends on the strength.

At the time of our comparison, Pharmulous's listed price was lower at 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 7.2mg.

At 2.4mg, Pharmulous and MedExpress were both £199.99.

How much is Pharmulous delivery?

Can I move my treatment from MedExpress to Pharmulous?

You can apply to switch provider.

You'll need to complete a clinical assessment, and we may need evidence of your existing treatment and dose. Any prescription remains subject to clinical approval.

Does Pharmulous offer maintenance treatment?

Yes, where continued treatment is clinically appropriate.

Pharmulous can consider supporting established patients down to a BMI of 19, subject to individual clinical assessment, ongoing monitoring and weight verification.

A BMI of 19 isn't a treatment target or a guarantee that prescribing will continue to that point.

How we made this comparison

We checked the prices used in this article on 14 September 2026.

The tables compare the listed prices for equivalent strengths available from Pharmulous and MedExpress. Delivery is treated separately so that medication prices aren't confused with postage costs.

Promotional codes and individual account credits aren't included in the headline tables.

Prices, delivery arrangements and provider policies can change. MedExpress controls its own pricing and policies, so its website should be checked for the latest information before making a decision.

Last price check: 14 September 2026.
